The people behind the seats
The export names a player only as a seat number. A profile puts a person there — a name, the nicknames they answer to, and the seat they are currently attached to.

A profile is created from a seat — open a player and press Assign user.

Profiles are the only thing this dashboard stores. They live in state/profiles.json, kept apart from the read-only export they annotate, and no figure on any screen is derived from them — a name only ever replaces a seat id.
